In the morning I finally made it down to Bush Hall Dining rooms in Shepherds Bush. The culture minister Ed Vaizey recommended the place as his 'best meal' in this week's Evening Standard Magazine.
Things have started to change on the Uxbridge Road in Shepherds Bush with some lovely new places popping up. Another one not to miss is the Bush Theatre with great show. Ed also mentioned Sipsmith Gin which is made in the Shepherd's Bush area for 200 years and I was thinking it might be a good one for the Gentleman's box. They do a 2010 sloe gin which looks yummy.
'SIPSMITH SLOE GIN Truly handmade, complex & bursting with flavour. First we distilled our award-winning London Dry Gin in our copper still. Then we left it to rest on wild sloe berries, hand-picked in the autumn. The result is a truly handmade sloe gin that is subtle, complex and bursting with flavour'.
